Rodney
received a B.A. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine at Orono in
1997. While at the UMO Rodney worked on a Pine Martin study which included
martin trapping, collaring and tracking using radio telemetry. After
graduation Rodney worked for the State of New Jersey Department of Inland
Fisheries as a field technician where he gained experience with water quality
sampling, fish stocking, seine and gill netting, electroshock fishing and stream
and lake restoration. Rodney has worked in Maine since 2000 as an
environmental consultant and is experienced and trained in wetland delineation,
wetland function and value assessments, wetland mitigation design, soil
identification, GPS mapping, CAD map development, environmental permitting,
wildlife habitat assessments and septic system designs (site evaluation) and
inspections.
Rodney
is certified by the Society of Wetland Scientists as a Professional Wetland
Scientist, by the State of Maine as a Licensed Site Evaluator and Inspector and
by the Maine Center for Invasive Aquatic Plants as an Invasive Plant Patroller.
Rodney is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS), Maine Assoc. of
Wetlands Scientists (MAWS), Maine Assoc. of Site Evaluators (MASE), Maine Assoc.
of Professional Soil Scientists (MAPSS), the Maine Chapter of the Wildlife
Society (TWS), the Maine Chapter of Izaak Walton League of America, Ducks
Unlimited (DU) and the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF).
